STATEMENT ON THE APPLICATION OF THE EST1000™ HUMAN SKIN MODEL FOR SKIN CORROSIVITY TESTING

The ECVAM Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC) has unanimously endorsed that the Epidermal Skin Test EST1000 test method for skin corrosion testing can be used to reliably identify corrosive substances as required by the Performance Standards of OECD Test Guideline 431 on in vitro skin corrosion testing using human skin model tests.
